4 The chess archive consists of the content of the directory tree contained
5 in /pub/chess. At the top level of this tree are a few informational files
6 which are briefly described below (the contents of these files will be

165 projects/ A directory tree for software projects donated to

169 texts/ General texts of materials, analysis and some game
170 scores. A grab-bag of chess related materials.
172 uploads/ A directory containing lots of subdirectories for
173 donating materials to the archive. Pick an
174 appropriate directory here for your upload.
175 windows/ Here is where new applications for MSwindows or
176 other brands of windows for the IBM PC reside.
177 This area is new, so many windows applications
178 still are in th DOS directory.
179 xchange/ A place for data/software you want to make
180 available to everyone but which you might not
181 want to place in a 'permanent' area do to it's
182 developmental/experimental nature.
