  35 <p>It's possible that a strange conjunction of conditions may occasionally
  36 mean that <samp><span class="file">cmail</span></samp> has trouble reactivating an existing
  37 XBoard. If this should happen, simply trying it again should work.
  38 If not, remove the file that stores the XBoard's PID
  39 (<samp><span class="file">game.pid</span></samp>) or use the &lsquo;<samp><span class="samp">-xreuse</span></samp>&rsquo; option to force
  40 <samp><span class="file">cmail</span></samp> to start a new XBoard.

  42    <p>Versions of <samp><span class="file">cmail</span></samp> after 2.16 no longer understand the old file format
  43 that XBoard used to use and so cannot be used to correspond with
  44 anyone using an older version.

  46    <p>Versions of <samp><span class="file">cmail</span></samp> older than 2.11 do not handle multi-game messages,
  47 so multi-game correspondence is not possible with opponents using an older
  48 version.
