  37 Tim Mann has been responsible for XBoard versions 1.3 and beyond, and\r
  38 for WinBoard, a port of XBoard to Microsoft Win32 (Windows NT and\r
  39 Windows 95). H.G.Muller is responsible for version 4.3.\r

  41 Mark Williams contributed the initial (WinBoard-only) implementation\r
  42 of many new features added to both XBoard and WinBoard in version\r
  43 4.1.0, including copy/paste, premove, icsAlarm, autoFlipView, training\r
  44 mode, auto raise, and blindfold.  Ben Nye contributed X copy/paste\r
  45 code for XBoard.\r

  47 Hugh Fisher added animated piece movement to XBoard, and Henrik Gram\r
  48 (henrikg@funcom.com) added it to WinBoard.  Frank McIngvale added\r
  49 click/click moving, the Analysis modes, piece flashing, ZIICS import,\r
  50 and ICS text colorization to XBoard.  Jochen Wiedmann ported XBoard to\r
  51 the Amiga, creating AmyBoard, and converted the documentation to\r
  52 texinfo.  Elmar Bartel contributed the new piece bitmaps introduced in\r
  53 version 3.2.  John Chanak contributed the initial implementation of\r
  54 ICS mode.  The color scheme and the old 80x80 piece bitmaps were taken\r
  55 from Wayne Christopher's <code>XChess</code> program.\r

  57 Chris Sears and Dan Sears wrote the original XBoard.  They were\r
  58 responsible for versions 1.0 through 1.2.\r

  60 Evan Welsh wrote <code>CMail</code>.  Patrick Surry helped in designing,\r
  61 testing, and documenting CMail.\r

  63 Allessandro Scotti added many elements to the user interface of WinBoard, \r
  64 including the board textures and font-based rendering, the evaluation-graph, \r
  65 move-history and engine-output window. \r
  66 He was also responsible for adding the UCI support. \r

  68 H.G. Muller made WinBoard castling- and e.p.-aware, \r
  69 added variant support with adjustable board sizes, \r
  70 the crazyhouse holdings, and the fairy pieces. \r

  72 made WinBoard more robust in dealing with buggy and crashing engines, \r
  73 and extended time control with a time-odds and node-count-based modes.\r

  76 Michel van den Bergh provided the code for reading Polyglot opening books.\r

  78 Arun Persaud worked with H.G. Muller to combine all the features of the never-released WinBoard 4.2.8 \r
